What indeed is happening with Flex??

Join members of the Adobe Flex team as they discuss recent changes to development including an update on the Flex 4.6 release as well as the incubation of Flex SDK in the Apache Software Foundation and an update on roadmaps for Flash Builder and the Flash Player and AIR runtimes. Learn how you can participate in Apache Flex to move the framework capabilities forward and be an active contributor in future releases.

Pizza and pop will be provided. Let me know if you can make it ASAP

I felt that Adobe were coming up with corporate responses to very good questions that attendees were putting to them. After consuming all what was said, sadly my feelings are that demand for Flash and Flex will disappear sooner than their nominal five years of investment Adobe quoted. If that's the case Adobe's five year financial commitment may be curtailed.

Informative, although the disillusionment was more than evident from some.

As good as it could have been, considering that it was as much about damage limitation as it was about the future of Flex.
The guys from Adobe did very well at answering some difficult questions. It’s a shame that such fantastic work on moving the Flex framework over to Apache has been overshadowed by a poorly worded blog.
If the Adobe team took anything of value away from the meeting, I hope it was that Adobe need to repair the perception and reputation of Flex by demonstrating their commitment and confidence in it. They did that with us at the meetup, but it is much needed at a public and corporate level.

*** Adobe, please give Flex the good press it deserves! Tell everyone how fantastic it is and why it’s going to be here for a long time to come! ***

A very useful meetup. A shame that so many angry people turned up.

Nice event, but it could have done with a little moderation of the hecklers who kept interupting - I was there to listen to the speakers.

Good meeting, well hosted, well attended, sad topic with the potential death of Adobe Flex as the tool of choice for developing enterprise applications.
