Designer and front-end developer North Kuras will be joining us to give a short talk on "All the things I wish I'd known about responsive web design before I tried to implement it on a large scale client website." North's colleague and EE developer Emily Heath will be contributing tips on how she had to adapt her EE templates and plugin usage to accommodate the responsive front-end requirements.
We've had a last minute sponsorship offer of an Exp:resso Store license worth $149. We'll give this to anyone who is prepared to give us a 5 minute talk or show-n-tell about an ExpressionEngine project they've been working on recently. You don't need to have slides, but you will need to be able to show us around the site (ideally the EE CP too) and talk about some or one specific challenge/s you've had to work on. If there's more than one volunteer I will put the names into a hat for the winner, but you can all talk!
We can provide a laptop and/or mini-DV to HDMI connector for connecting to a large screen, but if you want to use your own laptop or need a different output, please bring the necessary output/converter/connectors.
This month's meeting space has been generously donated by Central Working so please come along and show them your appreciation (cash bar for refreshments will be available).
