Kundalini Yoga for beginners

The purpose of these classes is to develop/improve awareness. Awareness of our bodies, our thoughts, emotions, our potential.

The physical exercise will build the strength and flexibility and it will also teach us to feel our bodies more, to listen to them and to trust our own experience, rather than rely on external guidance. Meditation and breathing sequences will bring about a calmer, more focused state of mind, improve confidence and develop our capacity to remain neutral in all circumstances.

If any of the above statements bear little meaning to you, I would encourage you to come to a couple of classes, to follow the instructions to the best of your abilities and then to simply observe how you feel.
For me, Kundalini yoga was love at first class. It was through sheer experience that I felt more alive, more focused, more balanced, more present. The benefits were felt despite me being a beginner: stiff, weak, not able to do all the exercises properly. Instead of kicking myself for being unfit and giving up, I was inspired to persevere. And as the improvements were more and more obvious, I was moved to learn this beautiful practice in depth.

Now I want to share it with you:)

No previous experience is necessary. However if you have any injuries or health conditions, please consult your GP to see if you can practice yoga. Also if you have high/low blood pressure, are pregnant or are in the first three days your period, please inform me before the class as some exercises would have to be adjusted for you.


Yoga mats, blankets, cushions and fresh water are provided:)
