Proms at the Royal Albert Hall

One of the classic London traditions - the annual Proms - are on again. These are one of the most affordable ways to enjoy some high-class music at the famous Royal Albert Hall and should be an enjoyable Sunday evening on which to end the weekend.

We'll go see some of Britain's best young music talents in a performance by the National Youth Orchestra playing several energetic pieces of music: http://www.bbc.co.uk/proms/whats-on/2014/august-10/15038

Though the Prom starts at 7:45, we'll join the queue early to get our £5 tickets. Following typical Promming custom, we'll just make the queuing part of the fun. So bring food, drinks, and good conversation (or games) and we won't even notice we're waiting.

Exact details of meeting place and time to be announced later, but plan to start queuing at around 5 in the afternoon.

As always, we'll ask for a £1 contribution from everyone towards our Meetup group fees.

We're meeting at South Kensington Station at 5:30. The problem if you come later is that you may not be able to join the queue in the same place and might have to wait separately. But come and we'll see how it goes. My number:[masked]

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
