This time we will cover paragraphs 20-40 of Can Xue's extraordinary - An Affectionate Companion's Jottings - the story of the cat and her owner - though that does not begin to do it justice. The language is relatively simple, though the plot is extremely strange. We will pick up more or less where we left off at the last meeting (paragraph 20) and read on to paragraph 40. On past experience it is usually 5 minutes per paragraph - and you don't have to stay for the whole thing. Last time we managed to find a really quiet place at the Royal Festival Hall - hopefully we will be able to do so again. Nearer the time I will email attendees my phone number to help new people find us on the day.
