Hi David

You may like to look at South bank center. Lots of free space , no need to reserve.

Subject: [londonmandarinlearners] New venue suggestions?

The Shakepeare's Head has been a bit noisy duing the last couple of meetups and the Captain's Cabin is often too crowded.

Can anyone recommend a pub/venue in central(ish) London with the following characteristics
  • It's possible to reserve an area (preferably free of charge)
  • It's not too noisy
  • Drinks are reasonably priced
I'd be happy to consider a coffee shop or restaurant also if we can find a suitable one. I know Lao di fang has another language group which meets in it's basement would you be happly to meet somewhere like that?

How important is it to you to be able to buy alcohol during the meetup? In other words if we settled on a coffee shop instead of a pub would that be a plus or a minus for you or would you simply not care?

Don't be shy people! Speak up and share your suggestions and opinions on potential meeting places.

cheers

Dave
