I have long believed that the best way to describe life, the universe and everything is through a natural language and that anything that can't be so expressed is most probably cobblers. I'm worried this might mean I am philosophically minded.

What are you looking for in the London Philosophy Club?

Aesthetics. Though perhaps reducible to psychology and probably quantum mechanics, I have no doubt that the choices we make are coloured by our experience and a Kantian fittingness. If it feels good, believe it.

Greetings earthling, I'm no Philosophic expert, I just have an interest (and quite like the pub you are meeting in). I can't imagine I'll be able to hold my own in any debates, but I would like to meet some new people. Is that congruent with your reasoning? ^^

    Cosmology, Quantum Mechanics & Consciousness

    Hi Will

I agree with your observation re the moribundness of the Cosmology, Quantum Physics and Consciousness Meetup Group, and I'm not too obsessed by the "question" of "ultimate compositionality" either (as I indicated more than once at length on the site's Discussion Board) because as a strict positivist it lies outside the scope of my criteria for "meaningfulness".

Why not trans-ship to the Science and Nonduality forum and have some fun!

Hi Will, I got your email about this group - it seems that the Cosmology, QM & Consciousness group isn't very active and this group is taking on the mantle of that group - hence I've joined...

Hi Will. Thanks for the message. I was definitely looking forward to the first ealing philosophy meeting. Unfortunately, I forgot the meetup was called 'ealing philosophy' and the directions on my phone sent me to St Mary's rd in Brent Cross rather than Ealing! By the time I got to Ealing, you'd all dispersed.....
Never mind, I'll see you at meeting 2!

Feyerabend! Derrida! Althusser! Three words I haven't written since Uni, where I had total immersion in the history of political philosophy for one term.
In a quantum universe where I could be in several places at once while other people looked after my family and did my three jobs and practised for my orchestra rehearsals, I would love to join. As it is, I fear you will have to struggle on without my nit picking. Sorry!

Hi Will, Would u like to better understand how to energetically recognise & transform negativities of systems we r often times unconsciously operating within which limit our capacity to make positive changes to our life and live more fully? Come to an open presentation Feb 1st to learn more about the Human Energetic Structure & Structure of the Universe with fundamental new insights (Great Passage, consciousness as a universal energy, new “ascension” chakra structure, 6th element...) :)Sany
