I also loved Dancers at the End of Time, especially that rascal, Capn Mubbers. Very, very, very funny. There was a time when Hawkwind-loving Ladbroke Grover, Moorcock, was as cool as the Dancers trilogy, revered by the hippies and heads of the New Wave. Ah well. How are the mighty fallen.
