Introduction

I work in English as a second language, currently teaching and writing materials. We need a common language; English is it. I'm interested in cooperation, connections. Also death, and how we live with it.

What are you looking for in the London Philosophy Club?

  • Hello Nick.
These are very worthy questions to run a session on. Would you like me to offer you a spot at a future meetup to actually pose these questions to the group and to lead discussion? Cheers-Maria

  • Not really "solved" but improved in terms of collaboration possibilities.

  • From my point of view (as I am also trying to solve similar problems, as you do) just video has the same problems as normal TV - it is not interactive. And even more - it is less valuable for learning because there is no live interaction between humans (though there is an advantage in terms of distances and availabilities of information). I thing it could be solved with screen-sharing and clouding.

  • Hi Nick, to give a short answer on your question about technology. From my point of view interaction with device is different from human interaction in two ways. 1. Technology is a good motivator (as it is smth new) 2. Technology offers new possibilities, you can do smth which is not possible to do with a book.

  • Hi Nick, thanks for your message, and also for your interest in our group. Yes we are all the way out in Chesham, so I understand if it's out of your way. You are welcome to come along if ever you do find yourself in our neck of the woods.
    Best wishes,
    Kathryn

  • Hola Nick, bienvenido a All things Mexico
I think you have a very interesting point, I am also interested in the similarities and differences between England and Mexico, maybe we can plan a future meet up for September under that topic, what do you think? do you want to help me organise it?
