Hi, welcome to Stargazers! Only our 4th member I think, congrats!

I'm also looking at getting some nicer binoculars; I have 2 (not that good) pairs at the moment and have narrowed my choice down but still unsure. Part of the reason to go to groups like this is to check out opinions or even try out equipment, experienced astronomers are usually very friendly and helpful.
