Announcing a new Meetup for the london philosophy club!

What: Planning 2011 + recap of November's club meet

When: Thursday, December 16,[masked]:00 PM

Where: ICA
The Mall
London SW1Y 5AH
[masked] Box Office

Hi all,

A few of us are meeting up tomorrow to plan/brainstorm some events for next year. Are any of you interested in joining us for a quick meeting to help plan out some of next year's events/topics?

Due to only having access to the small Reading Room at the ICA we'll keep it around a dozen or so people so may not be able to have everyone who wants to come this time. Still have room for about seven more.

UPCOMING MEETS:
So far we have Dr. Jay Watts (Psychologist/Psychotherapist) Speaking in January about Narcissism, Nigel Warburton (of Philosophybites.com) topic yet to be set, in February and James Crabtree (Senior editor at Prospect) has expressed interest, date yet to be set. What we can do is try and pool ideas on who we would like to hear from / debate with and then contact them to see if they are interested?

RECAP:
And as promised, a recap in video of November's fantastic eve on Stoicism from journalist Jules Evans:

Here is the Book list and presentation in PDF that Jules refers to: http://files.meetup.com/295185/Philosophy%20as%20self-help.pdf

Also the ICA asked to share the following events with you: http://www.ica.org.uk/46/Whats-On-listings/Highlights.html

Thank you all for being a part of this growing club where we can collect as like minds and philosophise.

See you soon,
Filip
