Philosophy Night and Kierkegaard Celebration

Hello Everyone,

Two pointers to upcoming events in London you might be interested in.

First, there's a 200th birthday celebration for Kierkegaard at the Danish Church in London, this Sunday 28th April.  The speakers include Clare Carlisle (who recently spoke at the LPC), George Pattison (a professor at Oxford who's written widely about Kierkegaard and has Rowan Williams's old job) and Joakim Garff, who's written the standard biography of Kierkegaard.  I've put the schedule at the bottom of this email.

Secondly, the Institut Français in South Kensington are running another "My Night with Philosophers" on 7th June, from 7pm--7am (yes: 7am).  I went to the one last year, and I really recommend it.  There are talks, films, discussions, live readings, music, free coffee and wine, and the place will be packed with people interested in philosophy.

The schedule will be up at on 7th May, and there's a Facebook page at.

All the best,

(Co-organizer, London Philosophy Club)
