Frank Doorhof Fashion, Celebrity and Glamour Photographer - The Workshop

Everything a Photographer Needs to Know Before, During, and After the Shoot including Styling, Posing, Coaching and Retouching.

This is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the best photographer / trainers today... Frank Doorhof is back in town for a limited time and has agreed to run a workshop for LPMG members.

Anyone attending the Workshop will get a place in the Seminar for free.

In this session:

• One amazing trainer

• One amazing venue

• One gorgeous model

If there is one thing that Frank Doorhof loves even more than photography itself, it’s teaching about photography.

These are no ordinary workshops where a standard light setup is explained and the students can start shooting themselves in a paparazzi style. In Frank’s workshops there is a lot of attention for really understanding what’s going on, or in other words learn:

“How to meter, manipulate and let the light do what you want” and “Why fake it, when you can create it”.

This approach has sent Frank Doorhof all over the world to teach workshops and secured his place as the first European Kelby instructor. He also writes several masterclasses for photography magazines. Frank is also very active online and answers all the questions on his forum, mail and blog himself.

Frank will be working with his favourite model, showing you how to get the best out of natural light, and using Elinchrom Quadra’s and a Maxi Light.

If you haven't worked with a photographer of Frank Doorhof's calibre before and you want to elevate your photography skills this is the perfect opportunity.

Important: everybody who owns an Elinchrom Sky Port, please write your name on it and bring it.

Frank Doorhof is someone special . His workshop was amazing . I am thankful that i have been part of it and that Frank D. is sharing that much and not keeping it all to himself . I learned so much that all i have to do now is practise/practise/practise . Thanks to Frank D. for being that easy to talk to , easy to understand , no big head person all together wrapped with a magnificent bow that is his personality .

Great day, wonderful location. Only issue for me is one minute with the model wasn't long enough, but I understand. Hope to attend many more in the future :)

Great workshop. Frank provided a lot of info and ideas in what resulted to be a real practical session of photography, supported by his wife Annewiek. 5 hours of shooting with 4 different scenarios, with the amazing Nadine acting as model/stylist. Very relaxed ambient; thanks also to Alex and the other organizers.

Great workshop with Frank. Will look at metering in a new light! Excuse the pun... Good to get out of the studio.... Great location. Thanks alex, JC, Nadine, Frank and team. Agree that 1 minute was a little short but fully understand the time restrictions!

Hi Enrico, tripods won't be necessary. Just your camera and a skyport if you have one, not to worry if you don't.

    Hi Alex,
I've joined the workshop. I would attend also the seminar, that is free for people attending the workshop. I would know if I have to follow the normal procedure (but in this case I'll be led to Paypal to pay 20 £) or register my name in another list.
    Best Regards
    Enrico

    • Alex L.

We will add you to the attendance list for the seminar once you join.

      January 10, 2014

  • Enrico

Hi to all, I've not yet joined. I would know before if this is a seminar in which we also are actively shooting (I guess so, from one of Jean Christophe's posts). In case, what should we take with us, only camera and lenses, or also other equipment?

    January 6, 2014

    • Alex L.

Hi Enrico, yes this is a practical session and you will be shooting. This is a good opportunity to add some great images to your portfolio. Bring your camera and if you have an Elinchrom Sky Port bring that, if not don't worry everything will be provided.

Hi, this sounds like a really great opportunity! How many people are there going to be there? Are participants going to be able to take photographs as well (is it a hands on workshop) or are we only going to see Frank shoot. There's mention of a 'seminar' where and when is it?
Peachpit have a sale this week on Frank Doorhof's ebook (50% off) www.peachpit.com - sale of the week and I believe there's a webinar as well.

    December 18, 2013

    • Jean C.

Hello Chelin, it's a 12 person work shop, every participent will have shooting time, so brining your camera is mandatory. Frank will be doing a seminar on the same day in the evening, if you book on the workshop you will get a free place on the seminar.
