I've always been interested in photography, especially photojournalism. I've lots of influences, but two of my favourite sources of inspiration are the Magnum collective and National Geographic. Generally, I've always got some kind of camera on me.
If you're looking for a photography group then the LPMG is, without doubt, one of, if not the best one in London. The activities and meetups are brilliant - largely due to the enthusiasm of the organisers who work really hard to make sure that all the events are really worth doing, fun and enjoyable. The membership is very diverse with people at all levels from compact camera snappers to semi-pro SLR users. What's more important is the lack of internal cliqueyness within the group; everyone hangs out together and gets on well. If you're a newbie you can always find someone more experienced who's willing to offers help or tips. Normally after an event we end up at a pub, (normally one that does food) and the social side is good too. Most of the members that I've met through the group are quite friendly and the meal and/or chatting after an event is a very pleasant way to round off the day. I'm really glad I'm part of it.
