Its hard to believe, but just 20 mins on the Central line from Oxford Circus, near Ealing, is Perivale Woods. A remarkable place... containing about 19 acres of mainly pedunculate oak woodland, old (unimproved) pasture, a marsh, a stream and five ponds, and hopefully about a square mile of bluebells.
Perivale has an open day on Sunday 27th April, so it will be a wonderful chance to see bluebells close to the centre of London.
Hopefully, besides the bluebells we will also see birds, butterflies, pond life, and other wild flowers including stitchwort and red campion.
From a photography perspective, if you have a macro lens, this would be a great opportunity to give it an outing, Wide angle lenses would also be great to capture the carpet of bluebells.
As its an open day, there will be a few stalls, providing refreshment, so we can stop for some tea and cakes after we have photographed the bluebells.

We will meet outside Perivale tube station at 10am. We will wait for about 10 minutes before heading to Perivale woods. If you are running late, the entrance to the woods is between 36 and 38 Sunley Gardens, Perivale, UB67PE, so you can catch up with us there.
