Lightroom is a photography software program developed by Adobe Systems for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows, designed to assist photographers in doing post production work and to manage digital images. Lightroom is an image management application database which allows you to view, edit, and manage digital photos.
The guest speaker for this event is Phil Binks. Phil is back again to deliver another Adobe Lightroom workshop. This time he will focus on the Developer module but will also touch on the Library for those who didn't manage to make it to his last workshop.
Phil Binks is an experienced photographer of 30 years who has worked in the Digital Imaging industry for 14 years. Phil has been lecturing on Digital imaging subjects for over a decade, presenting at national photographic shows and exhibitions. The introduction of Lightroom was questioned by many photographers as many failed to see where it would fit in with Adobe Photoshop and Bridge seeming to offer similar features.
This digital projection seminar expounds the virtues of Lightroom as a colour correction tool and concentrates on the Develop Module. You are sure to go away enlightened and enthused about the new possibilities for your images.
Phil will include features from Lightroom beta 3 version which can be tried for free from http://labs.adobe.com....
Phil is currently setting up the LightroomUK website, which includes some technical how to's and also links to a wealth of other Lightroom information.

Well Shane seeing how low the numbers are for this event I don't think we'll be running another one for a while. It's surprising that so few people are attending because he was briliant last time he did a fotogym for us and we hads loads of requests to have Phil back. He's doing completely new stuff too but unless numbers increase dramatically overnight we'll leave this topic for a while.
