I'd love to learn more about crafting a short film.
I have acted, swung a boom, moved up to sound design and have shot on a couple of short films (the largest budget was £12k). Of my own, I have shot my first short which turned out kinda OK, a music video (incredibly, someone put money into this) and have a couple more shoots coming up. This includes another music vid, another short (Feb / March) and probably a documentary in August. In addition, I know enough about editing (I have FCP7) to know that I'm not particularly good at editing and grading but will always give it a pop.
Love writing, directing, shooting and doing sound on shorts. My area of expertise is probably shooting interior sound (not exterior) where I have progressed to a level where I can do a little sound design rather than simply hold a boom. I can, however, shoot using my own kit and have the ubiquituous red caps for lighting, VG10 with stock and prime lenses as well as Merlin steadicam, Manfrotto video tripod, fluid head etc... If I am a specialist at anything involving a camera, I am half decent swinging a steadicam around within an internal environment although I occasionally trip over the furniture doing this...
I am a short film maker who has directed and shot the sum total of one film that is my own and one music video. I have also been shooting, doing sound, editing, even wandered in front of a camera on others
