Greenwich Picnic Pubcrawl! We'll be meeting in Greenwich Park from midday for a picnic then heading off at 3pm for a pubcrawl around the historic pubs of Greenwich! This is our third annual lazy, late summer pub crawl of Greenwich and it's always a blast!; 100's are turning up and all are welcome. Look out for my inflatable palm tree (only 3ft high) and a big group of assorted picnikers. Bring some picnic food and refreshments - sharing with each other is encouraged and a great way to meet new people! Also try to bring a picnic blanket, bottles water and maybe some park toys. Here is a googlemap showing where we'll be GOOGLEMAP OF GREENWICH PARK If the weather lets us down then we will instead meet in the The Greenwich Park Bar just outside of the park. Again look for the palm tree! We will head off on our tour of the local pubs at 3pm. It's an idea to have an umbrella or waterproof jacket to protect you during the short hops from pub to pub. This will be a joint meetup with a couple of other big Meetup groups so a great way to make new friends in one of the nicest places in London!! Map Directions See you there! |

Summer Sunday Get Together at The 1234 Shoreditch Festival! This is going to be fantastic! A pub crawl within a festival! 50 + bands playing all afternoon and evening plus aftershow parties at 12 different venues (with more live music)! All enjoyed together with 200 or so of your closest friends! The 1234 Shoreditch Festival, in Shoreditch Park is the best of the best in the festival season. 1234 Records hosts this jewel of a festival which this year attracts The Rakes, LoveFoxx, CSS, Tim Burgess of the Charletons, The Warlocks, Patrick Wolf, at least 50 other musical acts and possibly Lilly Allen! The 12324 is a fielding for the next big thing. Little Boots played last year and they are now the #1 record selling act from the UK this year. Why leave London to enjoy a great music festival! There's a lot to like about Hey Jo. First of all it is two floors of the most massively refurbished new club in the west end. With a 500 year old hand carved portal way entrance imported from India you know it's going to be the start of a fantastic night out. Envisaged by eccentric multi-millionaire HeyJo cost £4.8million and is an ultra VIP lounge. Loads of comphie sofas and alcoves as well as massive common areas to relax and unwind over pleasent, low volume R&B and Funky House and get to know one another. Come join 300 or so of your closest friends for a fantastic night out on the tiles (literally: There is ornate imported tile work everywhere!). The Dragon Bar is a staple of the Shoredich, East End scene. It is not only the funkiest bar around but more importantly the most genuinely nice and down to earth staff you will find and local punters who appreciate it! The Dragon Bar serves a selection of modern dishes in a stylish, funky setting. With a wide range of cocktails and beers on offer this makes the perfect place to catch up with friends. The Dragon Bar the corner of 138-139 Shoreditch High Street and Rivington Street. Just head north from Liverpool Street Station on Bishopsgate which becomes Shoredich High Street or head east on Old Street from OS Station. Bike Around London!! (and cyclist's picnic!) We meet on Monday next for a delightful cyclist tour of London, culminating in a picnic in the park. Join 200 or so of your closest friends for a start of summer bike ride and picnic! We met at 5:15 pm in St James Square, and push off from there at 6:00 pm sharp. (although it should not be too difficult to find several hundred of us cycling slowing round London! ) There's going to be plenty of daylight, as the sun is not expected to set until well past 9:00 pm So bring your bike, whatever picnic food you fancy and your good spirits and join us in St James Park for a fabulous evening out! THE London Singles Bank Holiday Sunday Party! Over 400 people have RSVP'd to be at our next Bank Holiday Sunday Singles party and we are expecting many more, so it should be a fantastic night out. We meet from 6:00 pm at Digress, just off the Oxford Street. Our Digress Bank Holiday Sundays are always packed. There are more than a few other groups booked in to join us at Digress and the basement area is all ours. The venue is open till 3 am. There is no cover all night long. See you there! A Fantastic Spring Evening! We start the night out at a great comfortable pub in town. The Blue Posts Pub is a fantastic place to start off your evening or cap off your day, especially as the weather has been behaving itself. We'll be upstairs, where we have the whole floor booked out. THE London Singles London Marathon Party! Over 400 people have RSVP'd to be at this years London Marathon wind down party and we are expecting many more, so it should be a fantastic night out. We meet from 5:00 pm at Digress, just off the Oxford Street Marathon route. There are more than a few running groups from around the country and around the world booked in to join us at Digress and the basement area is all ours.
