Day Trip to Yorkshire Sculpture Park

We are meeting: London Kings Cross Mainline Station

Our first day trip in 2013. Nice walk in an arty-farty open air museum/park.

500 acres of fields, hills, woodland, lakes and formal gardens combine to create a beautiful landscape and stunning setting for Yorkshire Sculpture Park. This landscape is not entirely natural. In fact it has been altered a lot in the last few hundred years, mainly for the families that have lived here since the land was listed as 'waste' in the Domesday Book.

£40 includes train return tickets between London and Leeds, public bus to the Sculpture Park, group donations to Arts Council England which manages the Park, Paypal transaction fees and group running costs.

Please note to enjoy the advance train fare I will need to buy the tickets by end of January. Thereafter it may cost you up to £97.00 (standard off peak return between London-Leeds).
