St Ives was very popular a couple of years ago. The Bean Inn and Spinachios are very nice, and there are vegan pasties, surf, coastal path walks and the Tate art gallery to visit.

Hi All, I was chatting to Mark today and we thought it might be a good idea to postpone this until the weather is better - we're aiming for one of the May bank holidays. What do you all think? - I won't be going this weekend anyway. H.

I won't be going either

I second that - since people have started dropping like flies (unfortunately) and the weather forecast for the Easter weekend is more in line with Siberia in January, then May might be better all round.

I'm so out of the loop on this. Sorry for the absent but can't make it now.

Shall I try and book the chalet?

I'm definately in! St Ives also has a cheap backpackers hostel in the centre too. I'm going surfing in St Ives in a couple of weeks so will check it out and feedback here whether it's good or not. I don't drive so training it or car share would be more ideal to share costs. I can't offer to drive but if we go down the A30 I can offer a cosy tea stop at my Mum and Dad's in Dorset!
Suitable accommodation might include the Bean Inn, which has a self-catering chalet with 3 rooms (1 double, 1 twin) which might work well. Failing that, there are hundreds of B&Bs in St Ives.
I'm suggesting that we go between Good Friday - Easter Monday give or take. If people want to go, we need to get this going sooner rather than later so we can get somewhere booked accommodation wise. Last time we did this we all booked different places, mostly because it was difficult to all stay in the same place.
You can get group train tickets down, or we could car share. I'll be driving down, as I get free petrol.
I did some research as I got excited about the trip! :-) And The Bean Inn is housed in "Coast vegetarian B&B" in Carbis Bay near St Ives! :-) The place looks fabulous: http://www.coastcornwall.co.uk/! :-)They have dates for 2012 on their website, so I emailed them for more information. I hope you don't mind and this is not a faux pas, Mark. I just wanted to find out quickly whether it was doable. :-)

Thanks for posting again, Mark. I missed your previous post.I've never been to Cornwall. St Ives looks gorgeous! I'd love to go! How many days do you have in mind? Where could we stay, do you know? What would work out best in terms of transport? Maybe we could get special offers for groups. :-)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
