At Death Cafes people come together in a relaxed and safe setting to discuss death, drink tea and eat delicious cake.
The objective of Death Cafe is "To increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives".
Join us for an evening of vegan food (making it the UK's only "Deathless Death Cafe") and memento mori in a cosy atmosphere as we seek to deprive death of its strangeness and ultimately celebrate life by reminding ourselves that its beauty lies in its transience and fragility.
Thanks for the messages etc everyone, sounds like you had a great night! Huge thanks to Robb for stepping in :)
I made it to Pogo over the weekend and they seem rather despondent about their future which is a great shame. Hopefully they won't have to close but I guess we'll see.

Hi everyone attending deathcafe at pogo tonight. Unfortunately Els has just now had to rush to hospital because of some complications with a recent surgery so she won't be able to facilitate the talk. She's really worried about letting people down so I said I'd post this on her behalf. You're obviously all still welcome to meet and chat and hope you have a great night. Thanks, Alex (Els other half)

Don't like this new RSVP comment system, it was far better the way it was, in my humble opinion. Sorry for spamming :(

Pogo have emailed me to say that if I get around 30 confirmations they'll turn the whole Cafe over to us so please confirm if you're definitely coming nearer the time! You can contact me via my blog (either leave a comment on the Deathless Death Cafe post or drop me an email) thanks :) www.cookievonstir.co.uk
