The years camp site is located about 2 miles North East of Bude. The area offers a full range of relaxing and stimulating activities such as country walks or exploring, visiting places, on site indoor and outdoor pools, entertainment and facilities, visiting colourful villages and towns.
Most people camp or caravan but some will stay in luxury self-catering chalets or lodges on an adjacent site.
Camping fees, Adults £8 / night and children aged 6 to 17 £6 / night
We usually have 100 to 150 people come to stay over the 2 week period. Many of us have been coming for 10 years or more. We often have communal meals (sometimes with a talent show), sing songs, camp fires (if allowed) and just general lounge-abouts. We enjoy going on outings to the beach, country walks, have picnics & visiting local places of interest. We are a diverse group with ages from baby up to the 70’s. Some people come every year and some come when we are in their area. What is consistent is the friendly, helpful and fun atmosphere, which you will find at these camps. We are able to draw on the many talents and enthusiasm of some of those attending to put on events which in the past has included such things as circus skills workshops, first aid lessons, raw and wild food workshops, rock climbing, yoga, surfing, orienteering, meditation, talent shows, etc. We would always welcome new skills or offers and suggestions. We have many children attending each year and it is an ideal time for them to meet other vegan children and to see that they are not the odd one out. Children and adults form many friendships at the camp.
Please send deposits of £15 / adult, £20 / couple, £25 / family ASAP to ensure a place. Late bookings or turning up is fine if space allows, which we should have but cannot guarantee.
