London Vegan Potluck

London Vegan Potluck is back for another monthly night. The potluck takes place on the first Wednesday of every month and has been running for approximately two years!

The potluck is in our snappy location in Central London just off High Holborn.

How does it work? What is a potluck? A potluck is an event where like-minded people get together to share homemade food, swap recipes, make friends and talk about topics that interest them.

What is a vegan potluck? It is the same as a potluck but with vegan food! There is no dairy, meat, honey or eggs. The food can be sweet or savoury and our event requires potluckers to provide an ingredients list with their dish as well as utensils to serve it with if required.

What else do you need to know?

- You must bring your own serving dish and utensils (this includes a knife if your dish requires cutting or a spoon to serve pasta salad etc)

- There is a charge of £1 to participate in the potluck, paid on the night

- The potluck runs promptly from 6pm until 8pm. Don't be late!

- One plate and one fork for each attendee to eat with is supplied. If you want more than this, you are welcome to bring your own extra

Come along for a fabulous night of meeting without meat. If you have friends you would like to invite who are not on Meetup, RSVP are also accepted via the Facebook event and the Fat Gay Vegan website

I had a fab time. The coconut brownies were particularly delectable. Any chance that their creator could share the recipe, please? :-)

Sorry...can't do Potluck as it clashes with Animal Welfare Party meeting being held at the same time :(

Good news Sean! Vanessa has kindly agreed to look into the possibility of a late start (7:30 pm) for the monthly Animal Welfare Party meeting that clashes with Vegan Potluck. People like me & Ian Badger could leave Potluck early to be on time for the AWP meeting. That way we could literally have our vegan cake and eat it too! :)

Stunning array of food tonight. The effort most people are going to is very impressive. We had 70 people and a lot of people helped tidy up at the end which makes a big difference. Even picking your own plate up, scraping it and placing it on the trolley helps tremendously.

And I have to say a massive thank you to everyone clearing out on time. The security guard had to leave at 8:30pm so he appreciated our speedy exit!

    Lovely! xx

Hi there, I've just turned vegan, and really need all of the inspiration I can get, as my cooking is still only chopping! I'd really like to come tomorrow, my question is... can I come without a dish? Happy to donate a little extra, and promise I'll cook something for next time!

Other suggestions that come to mind are vegan dips (hummus, salsa - but check the label in case not vegan) and tins of dolmades (vine leaves)
