The weather's got to be nice in late July, right? Right...?
So it should be a lovely day for a picnic...
I'm a little torn between Regent's Park and Hyde Park. But I think Regent's Park this time...
Bring vegan food and drink to share.
Bring outside games (but not ball games - see links below).
Bring sunscreen and waterproofs!
Probably followed by drinks somewhere in Camden...
In terms of location, the plan is to set up somewhere visible from the "stumpy tree" shown on this map: http://goo.gl/maps/8HFUz.
Based on today's visit, there should be space nearby, there's both sun and shade, and it's near to the kids' playground (and climbing frame) as well as a drinking fountain.
It's about a 10 minute walk from Camden Town (I timed it today) and a similar walk from Regent's Park or Great Portland Street (and just a little longer from Baker Street).
The easiest way to find the stumpy tree, is to enter the park via St Katherine's Gate and walk directly away from the road. But you shouldn't have any trouble finding it from the Broadwalk either.
I'll send everyone my mobile number beforehand anyway, so you can call from the drinking fountain if you can't find us...
