Book Club @ Tibits

  • Nov 12, 2013 · 6:30 PM

Welcome to Book Club at Tibits.

We meet regularly on the second Tuesday of the month. Everyone is welcome, just bring yourself, a suggestion for the next book and a desire to eat some yummy food. If you've actually read this month's book, even better!

The book for this meeting (November) is "Train Dreams" by Denis Johnson (beware, there is a German language version which you may not want):

The book for the next meeting is "Slaughterhouse Five" by Kurt Vonnegut:

I recommend GreenMetropolis for second hand books, as all proceeds go either to the seller or charity.

Sorry, I've had to take my name off the list this evening. Hope to make it to another Book Club in the near future.

I've just changed my attendance to Not Attending, as I haven't received my book yet (that I ordered online). However, if it comes and I can read most or all of it, I will come along. I won't have access to the internet on Tuesday so can't be more precise.

Hi Angie. You don't have to read the book to come along to Book Club! We always have a summary at the beginning of the discussion so anyone can join in! We don't even discuss the book for that long, so do feel free to come along, eat and socialise and help us choose the next book. It would be great to see you. : )

But if you do intend to read the book and don't want to hear spoilers you may want to put your fingers in your ears! :-) Everyone is welcome.

    Hi Emilio,
Yes you can bring a friend or partner - I might need to get a bigger table this week!
The map is a little misleading. There are two entrances to Heddon Street both off Regent Street - it loops around the back.
Finally, do Tibits do carrots? :-)

      Cheers. :-)

Hi there... never mind. My girlfriend just told me she won't make it on time... so no need for extra space or, at this point, to fix my RSVP. Thank you very much! :)

Hello guys, this would be (finally) my fiirst time that I can attend a meeting.
Quick question, can I bring with me my girlfriend?
Second... the map indicates Regent Street... is this correct for the Tibits??? o_O
Looking forward to know you! :D Finally somebody that won't look at me weardly if I order a ginger ale and a canister of fresh carrots to eat! :)
