Hi everyone,
I'm not sure how many of you know but I will be leaving UK on 2nd of August. Before I go it would be lovely to meet some of you again and some for the first time so please join us for a picnic on 19th of July.

If the weather is nice it will be in St. James's Park if the weather is not good? then... I will have to think about an alternative. It's possible that in case of rain we may go to Southbank Centre. I didn't see any big event happening there this coming Saturday so hopefully there will be enough space in case we have thunderstorm as per some weather forecasts.

Hope to see many of you,
Beata

The South Bank Centre is a big place :) Are we meeting inside the front entrance or somewhere spacious inside?

    1 · July 19

    • Beata

Hi Marko, we will meet at the 1st floor in the big area where people often have sit together :) If you get into the South bank centre from the river level you can just walk in and go to the big open space, if you come from behind the Southbank Centre, lower level (where the toilets are and some people dance there) you will have to go on stairs to the next level. If you don't see any familiar face just call[masked] and I will let you know where we are

    Hello Everyone,
It's not raining at the moment but the grass is still wet therefore we will meet in Southbank centre about 1pm and if it becomes really sunny and the grass will dry we can go to Jubilee Gardens near the London Eye.

For the moment please all head to Southbank Centre. We should be there about 1 pm.

Please remember to save my telephone number to make sure that you can find us.

    See you soon,
    Beata

    Hi Everyone,
The weather forecast for tomorrow is not very promising but ... I hope it will be as wrong as it was for last Sunday :) I will post tomorrow about 10 if we're going to meet in the park or in the Southbank centre. Please if we meet in the park just take some whaterproof clothing just in case. If we go to Southbank centre https://www.google.com/maps/preview?q=southbank+centre&ie=UTF-8&ei=YJXJU72qLaOM7Abi8oDgCQ&sqi=2&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&source=newuser-ws please check how to get there.
    See you tomorrow :)

Sorry to possibly pull out (again) especially after we cancelled our own picnic last weekend, but I think we will give it a miss because the weather forecast is for lots of rain all day in London.. is the Southbank Centre a place we can take picnic food to share or not, if this is the bad weather option? Or do we get some food from that Indian food stall we go to after Awakening Compassion sometimes? That was quite nice actually..

    • Beata

Lesley, we went with Amrit and other families few times to sit inside Southbank Centre with our own food, there is a big space to sit on the floor. I've seen also other people going there with their own food so I don't think this is a problem

Beata can you confirm the meeting point please because in the event of good weather we will come!

Lesley and Richard, if you click on the map attached to the event you should see which cafe I meant, the cafe is close to the bridge. I believe there is only one bridge on the pond.

We wrongly believed the forecast and I am so sorry for that! We were expecting rain in the afternoon, it consistently forecast it then after we cancelled it did not rain!
