London Vegan Potluck

London Vegan Potluck is back for another monthly night. The potluck takes place on the first Wednesday of every month and has been running for over a year. The potluck is in Central London just off High Holborn. How does it work? What is a potluck? A potluck is an event where like-minded people get together to share homemade food, swap recipes, make friends and talk about topics that interest them. What is a vegan potluck? It is the same as a potluck but with vegan food! There is no dairy, meat, honey or eggs. The food can be sweet or savoury (WE STRONGLY PREFER HOMEMADE) and our event requires potluckers to provide an ingredients list with their dish as well as utensils to serve it with if required. YOU MUST BRING UTENSILS TO SERVE OR CUT WITH AS WELL AS THE APPROPRIATE SERVING DISH/PLATE/BOWL. We have plates for eating from. Come along for a fabulous night of meeting without meat. Chipotle tofu.... & meatballs. Please can I get the recipes...these dishes were amazing and I want to recreate my own mini potluck at home. :) Oh and I loved the salad dressing with the rocket/coriandery type salad - delicious!! Please can I get that recipe too!!
My first and last potluck for 2012 -off to the US- really glad I came, had the most amazing time, and delicious food. I'm still stuffed. :)

Hi! Fab night.....just one little thing....did anyone notice a couple of Ice Packs with 'Able & Cole' on them? They're mine! I was putting my stuff away & nattering & somehow missed the fact I didn't pick them up! I'll pick them up at another Meet Up if anyone's got them! All the best, Jess :) x

Who made the chipotle tofu with butterbeans? It was amazing & I'd love the recipe!! The meatballs were so great too. Would love the recipe. Really, really glad I came. Had the best night with so much amazing food. It was great to be able to eat everything on offer, and it was all so healthy!! Couldn't manage desserts because so stuffed but bought them home with me. Wish I had come last mth but was too jetlagged. Am off to the states in 4 weeks hopefully for good...if I ever return, will make sure I stick around for potluck. :)

45 people at the event tonight. Much love to everyone who helped tidy up and I especially liked handing the floor over to people who wanted to promote something. We will definitely make that a regular thing!

I had to make a cake yesterday as I am on jury service outside of London. I made a call not to bring a knife with me through security lest I come back here as a defendant. Will I be alright without? If not I might be able to find a shop on the way in.

Vegan drinks can be a good idea under such circumstances, people don't tend to "make" them. Cue loads of home made wine and smoothies... ;-)

I agree with Robb (help me!) that drinks are an awesome addition to the potluck if you don't have time. Juice is good. I think I can bring some cups along, Hannah.
