Book Club @ Tibits

  • Jun 4, 2013 · 6:30 PM

Welcome to Book Club at Tibits.

Update: This month the meeting is on the first Tuesday 4th June.

We plan to meet regularly on the second Tuesday of the month. Everyone is welcome, just bring yourself, a suggestion for the next book and a desire to eat some yummy food. If you've actually read this month's book, even better!

The book for this meeting (June) is "Hidden in Plain Sight" by Dr. Andrew Thomas (it's *not* the book about Saddam Hussein):

The book for next meeting (July) is "The Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell:

Also, for extra credit, there is a slim poetry book "Serious Concerns" by Wendy Cope that some may wish to read and recite from:

I recommend GreenMetropolis for second hand books, as all proceeds go either to the seller or charity

The people were very friendly and was immediately made to feel part of the group (even though no one picked my book suggestion :P ).

Hey just a question... I love the idea of a vegan book club but, looking at the books, I'm not too sure if this is for me. Do you usually do non-fiction books or do you read a range of different books? Thanks x

We all suggest books and then have a secret vote so we end up with a really wide range of books - both fiction and non-fiction! And, of course, you don't even have to read the book to come along. Hope you'll come along and join us! : )

No problem Jon, I imagine you can make the changes as you're the Event Host.
