Jazz night for Dr Hadwen Trust

Celebrate World Animal Day by supporting this benefit night (headlined by one of our own members!) to help raise £3,000 for the Dr Hadwen Trust - a leading charity in the field of non-animal testing.

"Dr Had's Jazz", featuring Alex Carter, plus "fine jazz animals" Christian Vaughan on the keys and Dave Chamberlain on bass.

Indulge in a special cocktail for the night and enjoy the launch of Martin Aveling's gorgeous animal paintings in the gallery exhibition, all veggie bar menu, and drinks available from Canvas & Cream.

Win yourself an animal friendly luxury prize from the raffle ticket draw with prizes generously donated by:

* CRED fair trade jewellers
* Cyrine Aromatherapie
* Neal's Yard Remedies
* Paul Mitchell Hair Care
* Plamil Foods
* Beyond Skin Shoes
* Feelgood Handbags
* Vegan Wines
* and more...

All tickets are £10, available old style from the tin at Canvas & cream, or on the door on 2nd October, or via email from [masked], and they will be held at the door for you in your name.

All proceeds to the Dr HadwenTrust, the leading UK charity for humane non-animal medical research.

More details:

I'm probably not going to be there myself. But hopefully some of you are more jazzy. ;-)

    Neither Cathy nor myself will be attending this one, so there's no "official" plan regarding meeting up. Anyone want to suggest one?

    Alternatively, you can just try to recognise each other from photos. If you see a koala talking to a pint of beer, you'll know you're in the right place. But should probably stop drinking. ;-)

      Alex, would it be possible to do something like reserve a Meetup table (and maybe put the Meetup logo on it)?

    This will be my first meet up with this group but are we meeting as a group or simply attending as individuals because its such a good cause - if we are meeting as a group - what are the plans re. where etc?

    Hi all. This is such a wonderful event for a great cause. I have set up ticket sales online. Such a bargain for awesome jazz music AND helping an animal-free charity. There is going to be vegan food and drink for sale as well as a mammoth raffle. Buy tickets here:
