Massive fundraiser party in Central London featuring karaoke, bowling, pool tables and DJs.

The capacity for this venue is almost 300 and it would be fabulous to fill it and raise much-needed funds for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. All the activities are included in the entry price. There will be a few DJs playing a variety of tunes, a designated karaoke room, 5 bowling lanes and pool tables. All of this is included in the entry price and there will be a full bar for those wishing to buy drinks.
Barrow Boys Crisps are sponsoring with snacks to keep us full.
Tickets are on sale now for the early bird price of £11 (plus booking fee).
RSVP on here does not secure a ticket. Please visit the following website to buy your ticket: http://bowlforoceans.eventbrite.com/
Bowling shoes: some of the lane shoes are vegan. Some are not. They are not labeled clearly. The lane has said any attendees not wishing to bowl in possibly-leather shoes can wear their own rubber-soled, non-marking shoes.
Join us for 5 hours of awesome fun in the name of a very good cause.
I have put together a little blog post about the event, who helped get it together, how much money we are donating to Sea Shepherd and a whole bunch of Sebastian's photos. It would be lovely if a lot of you could follow the links in the review to thank those who helped make it happen. Cheers xx http://fatgayvegan.com/2013/01/...![]()

Yesterday was so lovely & a bunch of us ended up at Ravi Shankars afterwards! That was great! & the pub after!! :-D Unfortunately the internet's down at home so I wont be able to upload my photos as quickly as I'd like as this library computer doesn't have a memory card slot!! :( Anyway, I'll get them up eventually!! No matter; again, such a lovely atmosphere yesterday! I'm just wondering, did anyone record me & Robin's duet in the karaoke room? There's photos indeed...but now I'm weary of some clip of us turning up on You Tube!! Nah, I'm not that worried, I can sing,....I was just a bit tipsy! Haha! Anyway....it was fun! Right, haven't got long...must dash! All the best, see you at Drinks!! Jess :) xXx

PLEASE NOTE: Barrow Boys Crisps have been unable to get their product to us on time. I was informed yesterday that they were sitting in a storage depot in Feltham. I have been trying tirelessly to get the delivery company to release them to me but of course it being the weekend, I have had no luck. Apologies for this.
In other food news, the amazing Ms. Cupcake has donated several dozen vegan cupcakes for us to share. Make sure you say hi and thank her as she will be in attendance today.
Also, Planet Organic is a 5 minute walk from the venue (actually on the same street 7 blocks away). They have a huge range of vegan sandwiches, snacks, drinks, groceries and more. They are open 12-6 today.

An excellent event. First of all raising money for those that help animals is the best reason to have a get together and secondly , having something fun to participate in with others makes it easier to start talking to new people you don't know.

Just a little note: I won't be having name tags or stickers at this event as it is huge and a lot of non-Meetup people will be in attendance. We have already sold 120 tickets so it is going to be a big, fun event!

Happy New Year! The other half and I aren't too well atm - will tickets be available on the door? I don't mind paying a few £ more as it's all for a good cause.

Our third DJ has just been secured. It is James who is one of the owners of vegan shoe store and ethical boutique The Third Estate! He is going to play a very unique and eclectic range of songs for us. It is going to be a LOT of fun!

If you haven't RSVPd yet (or have but haven't bought a ticket), this might be the thing to prompt you!
Razzle Dazzle Ices are going to be at Bowl For Oceans handing out free samples! Yes, that is correct. Free vegan ice cream samples. There are already free crisps on hand thanks to Barrow Boys and now we have free ice cream thanks to Razzle Dazzle.
Bowling, karaoke and free food samples.... and it's for charity!

Our second DJ announcement goes by the name of Show Yr In Love. He comes from further up north but is making the special trip down just for this party! He plays lots of indie goodness, making sure we will have a mix of tunes on the day. Fun times!

So we are having 3 DJs on the day and I am very excited and happy to announce the first of them as being...... our very own Robb! Not only is Robb the powerhouse organiser of this Meetup group, but he is a super talented DJ. Looking forward to hearing him spin some tunes.

There is now a buying plan where you can buy 9 tickets and get the 10th free. Good idea for gifts or you can sell them on to friends/customers/etc. Read about it here: http://fatgayvegan.com/2012/11/...![]()
