Free Vegan Breakfast, Smithfields Market

BBC Breakfast is broadcasting from the Smithfields Tavern again on Thursday. That's the vegetarian pub next to one of the country's biggest meat markets.

The pub is offering free full veggie breakfast (with vegan option) to get people to turn up. Let's go!

Note that this is 7 *AM*, so it suits people who work in central London and are happy to get up a little earlier to get a free proper breakfast. Breakfast is served (and broadcast) 6am-9am, so I've suggested seven as a middling start.

BBC Breakfast will broadcast a segment at 7:20, so if you happen to turn up while they're doing that (or in the few minutes ahead), you'll probably have to wait to come in.

Thanks for organising this, Ian. It's not often that someone offers 15 members of London Vegan Meetup a free meal! Of course, that makes it all the more disappointing that over half of the people who confirmed their place didn't show up...
Those who did, it was lovely to see you - despite the horrendous hour of the day. And I hope to see you again soon.

It's a real waiting list. 15 was the maximum number of people they'd accept.

So - if you've RSVP'd yes and it turns out you can't make it - please do cancel so that someone else can go!

Post it on Twitter, Brian. They were advertising it in the pub itself last week - don't know why they're not advertising it on their website; could be that they don't want the BBC to know they're fuller than usual; could be an oversight.

The breakfasts do need to be booked in advance.

Beenal - thanks, I know, I've RTFM'd, and need to get a bit more info from the pub before I can ask Robb to make it official.
