The Vegan Tart (Back next month; still going to mention them indeed....!)
From Chocolate Tarts, to Lime & Thyme, from Homity Pies to Cookies or Scones, enjoy something yummy indeed inspired by the 1950's, with a dash of Twin Peaks indeed!

Dumisani & Andy, the 'tarts' :)
Saba's Ethiopian Stall
Enjoy the great vegan option*, of injera (pancake made with self raising flower) or rice, with lentils, mixed veg & salad!
((*non-vegan option cooked totally separately))

A fine example of what to expect....... :)
(Photo I took of my plate in October 2012)
Ms Cupcake
With plenty of naughty cupcakes to choose from, (including lots of chocolate ganaches, with mint, coffee, hazelnut, strawberry & other flavours indeed), plus a fridge full of Vegan Ice Cream, Rice Puddings, plus savoury pastries & new Vegan sandwiches, there's lots to tempt you at Ms Cupcakes Brixton base!

Ms Cupcake (AKA 'Melissa') with a very naughty tray of her creations!
((I know there are a few more Vegan options but those are the main 3, 'headliners;' do add comments detailing more vegan options, if you know of any more!))
Seating options >>
there is some seating that may be available in the market, there is also a seating area upstairs outside the Recreation Centre, to the left; at Ms Cupcake, there is some out door seating available; also option of drinks, at the next door cafe!
After enjoying some Vegan delights, then.....
The Dog Star!
....it's off to pub around 2.30 or 3ish (it may be earlier if the weather is a bit much! Haha!!) for drinks & good conversation!! :)
So, latecomers, get yourselves down Brixton Station Road; if you don't see a group of vegans queuing by Saba or loitering at The Vegan Tart stand, pop up those stairs to the Recreation Centre & look to your left; or, pop by Ms Cupcake...or just get down to The Dog Star!! :)
So, after the success of past trips, I look forward to more trips!!
All the best, Bye for now, Jess :)
Sorry guys I won't make it. I'm in Brixton, been trying to find a place to park my motorbike for 40 minutes and now that i found one i can't get a valid phone number to pay for the parking... Exhausted and going back home :(

Not going to make it after all. Trying to help my Mum transition to a Vegan diet. For my trouble, I've endured a 'True' CBS movie - now if I can just drag her away from her chores to the table to go over the meal plan... :-/

I Love Brixton. Can you help me to love Brixton too? This Saturday the Norwood and Brixton Fooodbank team will be collecting food at Tesco, Acre Lane, Brixton. Foodbank
What is Fooodbank?
Volunteers donate food which is distributed to people in need of food.
Norwood and Brixton Foodbank has already supplied food to 5000 local people who would otherwise have gone hungry.
Could you give an hour of your time to collect food at Tescos Brixton, before / after the meetup? (i'll be volunteerining from 11-12) Could you help buy buying a bag of rice / jar or pasta sauce / bag of sugar or another vegan item from the Foodbank shopping list at Tescos in Brixton to help feed those in need in Brixton? It really is a case of every little helps. Here is some more information about the foodbank and volunteering please go to the following link

Thank you so much for your time.
