Hi, I'm enjoying meeting more vegans, feel free to say hello.
What's your state of veganness (i.e. how vegan are you)?
I was vegetarian for 22 years until Jan '11 when I became vegan. Don't know what took me so long! Still working my way through my backlog of toiletries and slowly replacing with cruelty free stuff.
Favourite foods?
Since becoming vegan I've become a really decent cook although I still think you can't beat a brilliant salad with everything on - try a drizzle of balsamic reduction and a sprinkling of toasted pumpkin seeds on top - brilliant. Oh, and I love toast - sometimes the simple things are the best.
Favourite London restaurants?
Pogo Cafe, Hackney - best coffee, cakes, milkshakes, burgers and roast dinner in London!
What is the most common or silliest thing people ask you about not eating meat?
The most annoying is when people ask, "So, what DO you eat?" and "Why?!" and then don't listen when I reply, Godsake. My parents are supportive, though, now they're over the shock.
What do you hope to get by coming to meetups?
Try some vegan restaurants, have a forum to discuss veganism, make some vegan friends. Be around people on a similar wavelength.

Let me guess, you were dating some meat-head for 22 years, broke up and suddenly had a vegan epiphany! :D
So many hot vegan women date meat heads, its outrageous!
Never been called Russ, but did get called spotty and pizza face at school...ALOT! :(
I bet you got called cherry the hippie or cheeky cherry at school!Haven't made any vegan friends yet, and haven't had my vegan 3sum either, but open to offers ;)
