What's your state of veganness (i.e. how vegan are you)?

Already answered so I will list my favourite vegan cookbooks are: Easy Vegan Cooking, by Leah Leneman, published by Thorsons, 1998 (first published 1993) = the first vegan book I bought and that converted me creating proper vegan recipes. Incredibly Delicious: recipes for a new paradigm, introduction by Michael A. Klaper M.D.,recipes compiled by and book published by Gentle World Publishing in Kapa'au Hawai'I, 2003 = uses nutritional yeast more than other books. The Vegan Cookbook, by Alan Wakeman and Gordon Baskeville, published by Faber and Faber,1996 ( first published 1986) = simple recipes. The Voluptuous Vegan, by Myra Kornfeld and George Minot, published by Clarkson Potter in New York, 2000 = full menus, time consuming, a real experience. I love it especially the dish with tofu marinated in orange juice and sesame oil among other ingredients

Favourite foods?

I like varied types of food especially including spinash, egg plants, tomatoes, cauliflower together with garlic, onion, middle eastern spices. Italian style is my regular.

Favourite London restaurants?

Diwana Bhel Poori House[masked] Drummond Street NW1 2HL, www.allinlondon.co.uk/restaurants/restaurant-1348.php; Bonnington Cafe on Thursday night www.bonningtoncafe.co.uk

What is the most common or silliest thing people ask you about not eating meat?

Nobody is silly. Questions arise from not being able to understand, visualise, put oneself into the shoes of a vegan. Often that is due to coming from certain social and cultural background.

What do you hope to get by coming to meetups?

Try out vegan restaurants as a group of vegans and vegan supporters.

Introduction

I am a vegan supporter. My husband is vegan. I love cooking vegan dishes.
