I've been vegetarian since I was 18 and on July 2013 I'll celebrate my decade anniversary. I've never seriously taken into account becoming vegan. Yet I try either to leave out or substitute eggs and dairies, but I am not strictly observant of it. I started my choice of being vegetarian after I had discovered how the food industry treats animals. Since then I started knowing better what I eat. That has led me to cook my own food and love doing it. Right now my choice is also driven by the healthfulness of the vegetarian diet and the deeper relationship with the food.
No fussy things. I love grains and legumes because they are versatile, healthy and good both hot and chilled. I also love tofu quiches, aubergine parmigiana and chickpea farinata (maybe better known as socca).
Beatroot, Loving Hut and Coach & Horses Pub, but I haven't had the chance yet to go in a lot of places.
But you eat the tuna, don't you?
I was at the last Summer Vegan Fete and I really enjoyed. There I came across this community and I'd love to join other events like that.
I moved in London from Italy to improve my English and set up my life here. I'd love doing that knowing people who I share the same interest with. I'll bring my 10 years of vegetarian experience and I hope I'll get the most from all of yours.
