Introduction
Hi everyone! My name is Anneke and I am quite excited having found this meetup page for vegans :))
What's your state of veganness (i.e. how vegan are you)?
I've started some months ago to go vegan. I don't eat any meat, fish, eggs, milk, honey - don't buy clothes anymore that are made of leather, wool, fur, feathers etc.
Favourite foods?
LOVE pasta with hot tomatosauce (Arrabiata!) - sesame bars, anything with sesame... crisps... Houmus with celery and or carrots.. vegan sushi... Fake "chicken" nuggets from Holland and Barrett.. Salad.. To be continued....
Favourite London restaurants?
I don't really have a favourite restaurant but hope to be able to change this now :)
What is the most common or silliest thing people ask you about not eating meat?
Perhaps when people figure that if I am choosing to be vegan I also should consequently support other charitable causes whilst they are not doing anything themselves..
What do you hope to get by coming to meetups?
To meet likeminded people who are feeling compassionate about animal rights (as well as human rights) and can't accept the place that animals are put into by society to fulfil their every and any needs.. And obviously also embrace the enjoyment of vegan food and places in London :)
