What's your state of veganness (i.e. how vegan are you)?

I am vegan but not very adventurous with it, eat a lot of natural foods and vegetables but not very good at putting it all together to make a magnificent recipe purely because of my busy lifestyle and just not having the time. but at the same time I do all I can to make sure I get the required amount of protein in my body that I need especially with all the running I do!! I know I can become a better vegan part of the problem I guess is where I am from I do not know a single Vegan so no one to bounce any ideas off!!

Favourite foods?

Just love vegetables, any veggies at all I could not live with out my daily dose of veggies which is a good thing for a Vegan!!! as I stated above I am not very adventurous, like a typical day I will have vegan cereal with almond milk, jacket potato with peas and sweetcorn, brown rice with pinto beans and Tofu and then the main meal can vary!!!! I would say I am very much an eat to live person rather than live to eat, I do not miss meat in the slightest and am so glad I made the decision to go Vegan!!

Favourite London restaurants?

I don't often dine out in London as I live in Woking which is just on the outskirts but as many of my friends are all meat eaters I can not get them to go to any restaurants with me!! there was a great one in woking which has now closed down unfortunately.

What is the most common or silliest thing people ask you about not eating meat?

Often if they are trying to be smart they say you are wearing leather shoes!!! to which I reply no in fact I am wearing vegetarian shoes which always makes them look silly!! there is such an ignorance of attitude I tend to just avoid the conversation currently, if it does come up it feels like you have to justify yourself all of the time against people's prejudice and it really gets tiring after a while, there is this common conception that it is weak to value life particularly when being male!!!

What do you hope to get by coming to meetups?

I hope to just meet some like minded people more than anything, to have like minded conversations and make some new friends
