Hi, thanks for visiting!

This month, we'll be joined by Lead Front-end Developer and Software Engineer at Appsbroker, Todd Motto.

Todd is a HTML5 and JavaScript developer and an AngularJS fanatic, recently partnering with Intel on their HTML5 Hub project. Todd created Conditionizr, selected as a finalist in NET Mag's Open Source Project of the Year, as well as others works recognised by Adobe, Google, KitKat, Microsoft, Rolling Stone.

Todd's session will be:

Building the Modern Web with AngularJS

Todd will be kickstarting your next app by guiding you through some of the most crucial parts of the AngularJS framework. Taking a holistic and high level view, the session will prime you on all the basics and how you can leverage the framework to rapidly develop new applications the modern way, touching on MVC and data-binding methodologies.

Kind Regards,

Louise Morgan

A nice, well organized meetup. It was an interesting introduction to AngularJS, I agree with the others that some live demo would have helped further in understanding and seeing things in action. Thanks for organizing!

Thanks to all for coming and making it a great turn out. We also really appreciate your feedback. We'll be posting the session video and slides next week. Watch this space :)

I agree that further demo material would have helped. I am always grateful to speakers like Todd just because it is free knowledge though a little extra demos and examples could have helped as being a backend developer and not too familiar with the latest front-end tech, like the HTML5 ones, i found some concepts a little difficult to follow.

I actually liked the brevity of the talk. After working all day a longer speech would have been too much for me. Plus there were some great questions! A good thing to have time for them. The code in the slides was hard to read. Bigger text less background gradient plz, especially for the ones sitting in the back...

What would be great for Todds presentation in the future, is to add the actual outcome of the code he presents. Since the presentation is in a browser it should be able to make it work as well. If not, a screen print would be awesome. Good presentation, I agree Todd was stressed but that's understandable in a full room like that. :)

Was alright. Could be twice that long, cause the topic was interesting. Todd was a little bit stressed, but it's easy to understand, though the talk was fine so no need for that really :)

Surely 40 people can't have realised last minute they can't make it.

Do we need to register anywhere else apart from Meetup?

    January 8, 2014

    • Shehzad A.

surely you shouldnt turn people away as they would have RSVP'd so there should only be same amount (possibly less but not more) of people as the RSVPs ?

      1 · January 10, 2014

    • Lou M.

We find that with free events, a portion of the audience who rsvp yes, then decide not to show up. We're just trying to keep on top of things to make sure we have seats for everyone that can definitely make it. Everyone should be fine. We look forward to seeing you there :)

Looking forward to this, never had time to remember to RSVP!
