This month we have a very relevant subject for anyone having to keep tabs on their web application as it grows and gets used.Easy Realtime Statistics For Games & Web Apps
The subject of Realtime Stats is quite challenging when trying to get appropriate data at the appropriate time to swivel to meet changing customer demands.
Game development, or Gamification of websites adds new requirements into the mix, with compounding scenarios to track, a user may have taken a multitude of paths to get to where they currently are - ideally you can find the trends in those paths and make relevant business decisions.
Niall Giggins has had a long history of building stats engines using open source platforms, for both game development, and more recently social networking software. He will take you through the challenges faced, and the ways to conceptualize and solve these challenging problems.
When: Thursday, February 16,[masked]:30 PM

----------------------Introducing "London Web Skills" - http://londonweb.org/skills
I'm aware of the need to connect for work and information outside of London Web Meetups. This tool allows us to contact each other with simple questions like "How do I do that in Wordpress?", "My MySQL Join doesn't work, what's wrong with it?" etc etc. Unlike other systems, payment is completely voluntary, but if you have just saved me an hour with a 5 minute Skype call, where I shared my screen and showed you the problem, I'd be happy to enter 5 minutes beside your name when I saw you were "Online" currently, I'd pay with PayPal, and might use you for a larger problem later.
Check out http://londonweb.org/skills - I'm still perfecting the final touches, but it will help us all to stay connected as a group.
See you next week in our new venue!
