This month we have two very hot and interesting subjects bound to make you imagine the web in all new ways.

The Latest in Node.js

George Ornbo will share the latest in Node.js, a software system designed for writing scalable Internet applications using event-driven, asynchronous I/O to minimize overhead and maximize scalability.

Augmented Reality for Web Developers

Peter O'Shaughnessy is a developer in Pearson's Future Technologies team. His latest project - an Augmented Reality talking phrasebook for tourists - uses Wikitude's new ARchitect framework, which lets you create AR interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Peter will talk about the opportunities for Web Developers to start building AR applications using frameworks like ARchitect, as well as up-and-coming Web standards like WebRTC.

It's Thursday May 17th from 7.30pm at:

Radisson Edwardian Kenilworth Hotel, 97 Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3LB.

I've just opened 30 seats, and with 40 web developers already coming it will be another great night at London Web so don't miss it:
