This meeting is for those who have finished writing an unpublished book. The main focus of the evening will be on finding a publisher for a novel, and priority will be given to those who have written a novel.

Speakers will be:
Maria McCarthy: http://www.mariamccar...
Katherine Bling: http://www.singleholi...
Lisa Goll: worked in marketing for publishers (HarperCollins, Harlequin) for 6 years
We are also hoping that an editor from a publisher will be speaking

When you have RSVP'd Yes, you are asked to make a £10 donation to Unicef to secure your place:
http://www.justgiving...

Please click on the justgiving link, make your donation then edit your RSVP to include 'Donated' in the comments field here. (To do this, click 'Changed your mind about attending?', leave it as Yes and add your comment.)

Please note that places are limited to 35, and it's now first-come, first-served. Once 35 people have donated, all remaining Maybe RSVPs will be changed to No and the event will be closed.

I'd love to attend this event. My book is in progress - It's actually a travelogue on my recent adventures to South America and I'd very much appreciate the opportunity to meet some publishers and a marketing expert who can give some insight. There haven't been that many travelogues on South America, (particularly by sole female travellers) as there have been on other continents, so it would be great to get something out there.

I'd love to attend but am not in London at the moment.

I've had a book on Chinese film published. Now I want to find out how to market my book about the year I spent working in China. All the chapters are written but I need to complete an introduction.

Three fantastic talks - many thanks to Maria, Katherine and Lisa. I certainly picked up a lot of tips.
    •  Very good. The speakers were refreshingly frank, but also friendly and approachable. Sound advice and entertaining anecdotes.
    •  Ben, thank you so much for all the work you put into making this meeting so great. The advice from the panelists was exactly right for the audience and surely put us on the runway to our success. The time that you and they have given up to help us is very much appreciated. I hope there will be many, many more. Kindest regards Adele

    •  Down to earth, funny and motivating authors. Just what I needed to get me off my ass and doing what I need to do. Not the writing, but the getting published stuff that I was dreading.
