Hi guys, apologies over the delay in scheduling our next meet up. We've had some dramas with our favourite pub, The Carpenters Arms, which is no longer our little secret and has been booked out by all kinds of wacky groups (London Chess Society, anyone?).

So....we've moved our meet up night to Tuesday, 29th April. Hopefully the proximity to the start of the working week won't dissuade our staunch squadron of writers from attending! And it's still at our favourite little not-so-underground-anymore pub, The Carpenters Arms. 12 Seymour Place, a stone's throw from Marble Arch tube and Oxford Street Primark. Click here for a map

The theme this time around is Climbing. Could be Social Climbing, Mountain Climbing, Climbing Plants, or just the eternal struggle to climb from one's bed each morning! Please note, the topic is applied very loosely and is just a guide! Your writing can come in many forms, poem, short story, puppet show, up to you! Please try to keep it to under 10 minutes in length, unless you're really good :)

The official start time is 8, but I'll be there just after 7 preparing everything. The Writer's Group is upstairs, so just navigate your way through the hoardes of rowdy public servants propping up the bar, up the trecherous staircase, through the dank, unlit corridors to our glorious creative sanctuary!

Once again, any questions, please email me: guy *underscore* kerr *at* hotmail.com. And apologies for the delay once again, hopefully you're all chomping at the bit to step up and share your work with the world!

Cheers and hope to see you all there!

Really enjoyed my first visit. Everybody very friendly, good beer and a great variety of writing styles.

Another top night. However I do feel that we need some safety measures in place to prevent post traumatic stress disorder
    •  I had a fantastic time. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere and an interesting variety of writers. Nice that it was evenly split between readings, and drinking and socialising afterwards. And everyone was so good looking. It was like an episode of Lost but with pints and poems, and in a pub instead of on a tropical island. First class.
