The Seventh Circle is a sexy, humourous and dark literary psychological thriller ready to meet the world. Alfred the Great is a play written in iambic pentameter with some alliterative verse and some prose. The published poet Geoffrey Daniel has given detailed and very encouraging criticism of the work, which I hope to finish crafting in the near future. Herod's Child, accepted by RADIUS (Religious Drama Society of Great Britain), has been performed in Chelsea and Ealing, starring the wonderful professional actor Chris Greet as Herod, and exists on CD, a recording first aired on www.audiobookradio.net. I continue to write poetry and was one of 20 poets highlighted by the anthology Pendulum (Avalanche Books). I teach in a school and have been working with children to produce plays, including Curse of the Voodoo Guy and Women in Black - the Musical! I am writing the children's book Maxworld.
The standard of writing will be high, I expect, and the quality of feedback will be honest and useful, I hope. I love gaining the insight necessary for bringing a work closer to perfection, painful though the experience can sometimes be. The RADIUS editor asked me to write an entirely new scene for Herod's Child and I managed to satisfy her with what is perhaps the best scene in the play. I have also enjoyed a happy working relationship with Deborah Gaye, the editor of Avalanche Books. Through Spread The Word I benefited from a one-to-one surgery with the critically-successful American novelist Danzy Senna. For a while I was part of the writers' group in Shepherds Bush and have been a member of 3C Folio, a community that posted each other poems and constructive criticism.

StorySLAM introduced me to Lisa Goll and my subsequent research led me to the cafe.

Lisa Goll was a judge at the StorySLAM event last night. I was fortunate enough to be allowed to read a piece called Murder in the Dark. Writing is my favourite activity. I believe it is now time to promote, not hoard, my work.
Well organised, relaxed, respectful, opportunity to speak, valuable feedback, though good to hear from more of the people present. I will be back.
