I'd like to join the WC for two reasons: the first is that it would be nice to talk to like-minded people and second, I would like to have some honest feedback on my work. At the moment I am writing a commercial fiction novel but I would also like some feedback on some of my short stories and flash fiction. My writing interests vary: I enjoy writing about real life and take my inspiration from the goings-on around me but I also love writing sci-fi and in particular utopias and dystopias. My sci-fi tends to be short stories of 3000 words or less but my general fiction writing is almost a finished novel of 62,000 words. The importance of going to writers group was continuously impressed upon me by my tutors as it stops your writing from becoming stagnant.
I'd like to be able to discuss my work with people who may have different working styles to my own. I would also like to share what I have learned and discuss other people's work with them. If I'm honest, I'd also occasionally like to chat about writing with a glass of wine in my hand.

I typed in 'Writer's Circles London' into google. Of all the writing circles listed yours had the most members, a website I found easy to use and understand (I still find the internet daunting) and regular meet-ups. The regular meet-ups in particular is what I am looking for. I'd like to be able to look into the eyes of the person who slates my work... just kidding!

Hello, I studied English Lit & Creative Writing at Salford Uni. I travel to New Zealand and SE Asia when I left uni and now live in London. I am hoping to meet some others who enjoy writing and discussing writing and reading in general.
