Are you a fiction writer/author based in London searching a creative writing group of 3,300+ like-minded individuals? Congratulations. You've found it.
At its heart, London Writers' Cafe exists to give emerging fiction writers a place to get constructive feedback on their work. Meetings happen regularly but you choose how often to attend (no pressure) in private function rooms close the these stations: Liverpool St, Holborn and Baker St. See what's up next in our calendar.
Note: LWC will pause on accepting new members once we reach 3,500 and this is why.
The way it works
Members volunteer in advance to read their unpublished work (normally a sample of 2,500 - 4,000 words) for live feedback in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. New members can choose to come along and just listen to others for a bit until they want to share their own (that's totally OK). I don't believe in groups where everyone is forced to contribute/offer feedback *shudder*
Talks, Workshops & Socials
As well as feedback nights, I program a huge array of talks with leading publishing folk (including top Literary Agents and Editors), technical workshops (characterisation/voice/POV etc) taught by professional tutors and host memorable (I hope) social events on occasion.
NB: We will be pausing on new memberships once the group reaches 3,500 members (just for a few months) so if you want to join, now's the time to apply.
