This is a group for those of us in Long Beach and neighboring cities who want to get out every once in a while. Contrary to what our name may lead you to think, there are no canyons in Long Beach (aside from the occasional string of potholes). Therefore we cannot hike any canyons in Long Beach. Instead what we are is a group of folks from the Long Beach area who will leave Long Beach to hike canyons in other areas. No more confusion now eh? We'll hike and explore our local mountains and occasionally rediscover parts of our local cities while meeting new people and having a great time. Join us if you wanna hike, bike, backpack, or just camp-out!

If you're looking to join then WELCOME! but be aware that YOU WILL NOT BE APPROVED FOR MEMBERSHIP UNLESS YOU ADD A PHOTO OF YOURSELF AND INFORMATION TO YOUR PROFILE. Hope to see you at the next Meetup!

IMPORTANT: Be aware that many of the activities that this group will be involved in are inherently dangerous. There are countless occurrences of serious injuries, and even death that are associated with hiking/backpacking etc. By requesting membership in this group you assume full responsibility for yourself and your actions.
