Someone Is Watching!
Let's find out who as we ride along the Left Hand Creek Trail.
For an Art In Public Places project, Longmont artist Jerry Boyle created 101 ceramic faces and placed them along the Left Hand Creek Trail. They were placed in bushes, in trees, on rocks, on bridge bulkheads, in the creek itself, on top of posts and who knows where else? They are hidden between the museum cutoff and Sunset Street. Let's see how many we can find!
We'll start at the Left Hand Tasting Room and ride east along the St. Vrain Greenway. We'll then ride on the Left Hand Creek Trail and begin looking for the faces. Along the way, we'll take a rest stop at Left Hand Creek Park before returning to Left Hand Brewery.
Our total mileage will be a little over 10 miles. Our pace won't be fast, so this is a ride the entire family will enjoy.
Helmets are required for this ride. Please arrive a few minutes early so that we can get under way by 12:05. Have your bike ready to go with the tires inflated and the supplies you will need to repair a flat tire, if you should experience one. Bring some water, sunscreen and a light snack, if you wish.
I rode this last week and could only locate 67 faces. Jerry Boyle and AIPP did an excellent job of hiding them. Let's see how many we can find! Bring your camera!
