LOPSA DC is the DC chapter of the League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA), a local group created for system administators in the DC Metro area. LOPSA is a nonprofit corporation based out of New Jersey with members throughout the world with the mission of advancing the practice of system administration; to support, recognize, educate, and encourage its practitioners; and to serve the public through education and outreach on system administration issues.
While membership in LOPSA is encouraged it is not required to attend meetings.
LOPSA DC aims to bring together system administrators who are experienced with all types of systems as we are completely vendor agnostic. Speakers at the meetings, and their topics, will cover a breadth of different topics.
Members of LOPSA DC are encouraged to present topics they have experience which they feel will be of interest to others in the group. Requests for topics will also be accepted at each meeting and we will do our best to fulfill those requests.
