Trail description:

A 7.3 mile hike from the Pacific Palisades to a very popular overlook in Topanga State Park. The first part of this hike – the Los Liones Trail – is one of the most lush riparian canyons I’ve seen in the Santa Monica Mountains. It’s gently graded, moderately shady, and definitely worth a look particularly for the sunset. The trail meets up with the system of fire roads in Topanga State Park, and makes a relentless ascent to Parker Mesa (1525ft). On a clear day, you’ll get amazing views of the Santa Monica Bay, and often inland as far as the San Bernardino Mountains.

Morning everyone. I will have to gracefully bow out of this trip. Doing 2 backpacking trips in February so i just wont be able to squeeze this in as well. Best of luck and if anyone can send me a GPX track of the hike I would be extremely grateful.

I'm not a beginner, but this might be a bit challenging for me. I can do it but might have to go at my own pace. Does anyone want to join me who knows the trail but may want to take it down a notch?

Well said Mike! An eloquent expression of my feelings as well!
I use this quote in my email signature. Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.
