The venue was very nice and the event well attended. The wine was really only about half a glass. The red wine was okay, but not great. I expect a syrah (even a blend) to be much more intense. The appetizers seemed experimental, with mixed results, some tasty, others not so much. Since the event was only $15, it was a good value. I ended up buying another glass of wine off the menu and was much happier with that.

It was a really nice evening. The location was close to my home. The hotel and bar was beautiful. I wish there was more available single men at this event. But it was ok for an early evening. There could have been a couple more tastings and appitzers served as well. I was impressed at how many people showed up though.

Palomar and BLVD was very nice.

The meet up was a big let down though!
    - The food was scarce. Only twice did I see any food, and it was in very tiny amounts!
    - A very small portion of wine was provided for the one glass included.
Ultimately, the wine was only OK, and the food was a huge disappointment.
Certainly not worth the price of admission!!!

A glass of wine should be 4 to 5 ounces; here you receive perhaps 1 to 1 1/2 ounces. The appetizers are only served (and sporadically) during the first hour and there are no vegetarian choices for others who stood with me having our baby glasses of wine. This appears to be a good moneymaker since we pay $15 for the one tiny glass of wine. Additionally, I thought there would be a small educational piece about the two wines; there was nothing. For a "wine" group, this is really lacking.
